Kunststoffenbeurs and Materials+Eurofinish+Surface will continue!

MC2021 KBMESgaandoor

On Friday the 13th of August, the Dutch government presented the corona measures for the coming weeks. We understand that these measures can raise questions, for example about the continuation of the Kunststoffenbeurs and Materials+Eurofinish+Surface. Both trade fairs can be characterized as walkthrough events and are allowed. The current measures for follow-through events were adopted by the Dutch government on June 26th and have not been changed since. The website of the Dutch government states that at events with a continues flow, a maximum of 1 visitor per 5 m2 is allowed. Personnel and exhibitors are not included in this. At the Brabanthallen, we have space of more than 24,000 m2, which means that we can receive 5000 visitors per day. Read the measures on the website of the Dutch government;

Kunststoffenbeurs and Materials+Eurofinish+Surface will continue

Trade fairs are seen by the Dutch government as drivers of economic recovery and an important meeting place where supply and demand come together. We emphasize this importance. Together with the Brabanthallen, our other partners and in consultation with the local security region, we are implementing measures to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing and discovering the latest innovations as safely as possible. We set ourselves high standards when it comes to the safety of our guests, relations and employees. For example, the Brabanthallen has an advanced air ventilation system and we use 5 meter wide aisles. We have also set up special VIP areas where exhibitors and visitors can safely have a conversation.

Reaction from the Brabanthallen

Jeroen Dona, Division Director Fairs and Events at Libéma, Brabanthallen: “As Brabanthallen, we look forward to receiving Mikrocentrum and you as a valued Mikrocentrum relation safely and responsibly during the upcoming fairs. At the Brabanthallen we use strict protocols regarding hygiene, catering and toilet visits to ensure safety. These protocols have been established in collaboration with industry associations and with the approval of the responsible ministries. Taking the above into account, the central government considers it responsible for trade fairs to take place. Since July, trade fairs have been held in the Brabanthallen again. As a result, we have already been able to gain a lot of experience.”
