Model Based Definition offers the possibility to further automate the creation of measurement plans, programming and execution of the 3D measurement process.
Shorter preparation and programming times and less errors in the processing of measurement data are the result. The 3D basic information (GD&T) must then be defined correctly.
In this workshop Frans-Peter d'Hooghe and William Rikken show how the GD&T must be represented in the model, the dimensions and tolerances are processed to measurement data and a measurement plan in MiCAT Planner.
The workshop ends with a demonstration of how a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) performs the measurements and finally how the measurement results are displayed in reports.
