You will also learn all about the components and operation of the injection moulding machine and mould and the different steps of the injection moulding cycle. If you successfully complete the course, you will receive an industry-recognised NRK diploma.

About the Injection moulding 1 course (sprint class)
After completing the five-day Injection moulding 1 course, you will be familiar with the key properties of thermoplastics crucial for processing. You will have acquired knowledge about the components and operation of the injection moulding machine, as well as the injection mould itself. Additionally, you will understand the various stages of the injection moulding cycle. Furthermore, you will be able to independently initiate a basic injection moulding process and address common process faults.

Theory: general plastic knowledge (50% of the time)
- Understanding the properties of plastics and commonly used thermoplastics
- Identifying plastics
- Insight into processing aspects
- Understanding the behavior of plastics during heating, melting, expansion, and contraction
- Working with injection moulding machines
- Going through the injection moulding process
- Working with the injection mould
- General construction of moulds, structure, runners, hot runner systems, cooling, maintenance
Practice (50% of the time)
During the practical segment, extensive attention is given to:
- Installing and removing moulds
- Starting up and operating injection moulding machines
- Recognizing the influence of parameters on the process
- Preventing and resolving common issues during injection moulding
