High-tech is a crucial pillar of the (inter)national economy. This sector is now responsible for 50% of all R&D investments in the Netherlands, with an export value of approximately 22 billion euros. The demand for high-tech products continues to grow, which accelerates developments and innovations in precision technology. Achieving this requires specialization in various areas, as well as collaboration and knowledge sharing. During the 22nd edition of the Precision Fair, organized by Mikrocentrum, on November 15 and 16 at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch, the entire precision technology value chain will come together to share knowledge about the latest developments and to network.

The Precision Fair annually brings together top professionals from the sector, educational institutions, government agencies, technical universities, and incubator programs to collaborate on shaping the future and meeting the growing demand for precision. "New connections are forged, and many existing relationships are maintained," says program manager Bart Kooijmans. "This is crucial because it allows the industry to share vital knowledge and easily connect with potential partners or customers. It strengthens the entire chain and contributes to accelerating technological progress. In the Brabanthallen, we have ample space to welcome the entire supply chain. As a result, this year, we see not only growth in the number of exhibitors but also in the number of industry associations. The Precision Fair is, in a way, a catalyst for the high-tech industry.

Over 325 exhibitors and 50 inspirational sessions

With a diverse program and over 325 exhibitors, the Precision Fair promises ample inspiration and opportunities for (new) encounters. The exhibitors specialize in areas such as mechatronic engineering & systems, metrology, vacuum & clean, microprocessing & motion, laser & photonics, and high-precision manufacturing. In addition to the exhibitors, visitors can also participate in 50 inspirational sessions where they can get acquainted with various international companies and experts. One of the confirmed keynote speakers is Cor Ottens, System Architect at ASML. In his keynote, he will share his vision on Optometronics DUV.

Networkarea with live stage

The Network Arena is bigger than ever this year. Here, attendees can connect with up to 25 networking organizations. Additionally, on both days, visitors can attend live radio broadcasts by BNR Nieuwsradio, short presentations, workshops, award ceremonies, and panel discussions. Some confirmed highlights include the launch of the first issue of PIT magazine, the presentation of the Ir. Davidson Award and the Wim van der Hoek Award by DSPE, pitches by young talents (PhD students, student teams, and start-ups) where they highlight their projects, a panel discussion hosted by the Mikrocentrum High Tech Platform in collaboration with DSPE, and a workshop by PhotonicNL.

Special attention to AM for Precision

This edition puts AM for Precision in the spotlight as a special theme. There is an AM for Precision theme square where 14 Additive Manufacturing specialists showcase their applications. Additionally, in the lecture program, there is an entire lecture track dedicated to these additive technologies used in the production of end products.

Big Science meets hightech

Since 2012, ILOnet has been ensuring that the major scientific programs falling under the category of Big Science are well represented at the Precision Fair. In addition to their presence in the Network Arena, some of these programs are once again providing lectures this year to update visitors on the progress, plans, and procurement needs of these large international projects. Represented programs include the Einstein Telescope, ESA, CERN, DIFFER, and ITER.

Meet & Match by Enterprise Europe Network

As in previous years, the Enterprise Europe Network, in collaboration with Mikrocentrum, is organizing the international B2B matchmaking event. The goal of the Meet & Match is to identify relevant contacts across the entire supply chain by facilitating personal 1:1 meetings. Interested parties can already register via the website.
