About the course Electrical fault finding

In the Electrical fault finding course, you will learn the operation of electrical installations through schematics. You will acquire the basic skills to effectively identify faults. This is done using a fault simulator, which replicates faults in electrical circuits such as basic, PLC, reversing, star-delta, sequence, and two-hand circuits. Through fault analysis, schematic reading, measurements, and logical thinking, you will learn to discover faults. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to independently search for, locate, and rectify faults.

Who is this fault-finding course for?

This course is intended for anyone looking to enhance practical skills in independently and purposefully troubleshooting faults in electrical installations. It is also suitable for supervisors and technical sales personnel. You should have completed vocational training in electrical engineering at WEB Level 2 or have completed the basic course in industrial electrotechnics, for example.

Practical sessions

The course combines theory with exercises, practical cases, and hands-on labs.

Program

Theory

  • Schematic reading
  • Measurement techniques
  • Fault finding
