About the course Electronics for non-electronics professionals

Are you working in the field of technology and occasionally deal with electronics but lack the basic knowledge to dive right in? Then the six-day course "Electronics for Non-Electronic Engineers" will get you started. Through various practical exercises, you will learn to read and interpret schematics, recognise and troubleshoot common defects, handle ESD responsibly, perform measurements, and work safely. Utilise the digital learning platform to review additional interactive information at home.

Upon completion of this basic electronics course, you will be familiar with electronic fundamentals and industry-specific terminology. You will also learn to identify electronic components, their characteristics, and potential fault situations. Gain insight into the general operation and application of common interfaces and understand safety regulations. Additionally, you will develop the following skills:

  • Reading and interpreting schematics on a printed circuit board (PCB) or assembled system
  • Recognising and resolving common defects
  • Performing simple, targeted measurements for effective troubleshooting
  • Handling SMART electronics through Arduino practical sessions
  • Simulating electronic circuits using SPICE-based software
  • Handling electronic components with quality in mind regarding ESD and assembly guidelines
  • Working safely with electronics
